The West Point Society of the Mid-Hudson Region (WPSMHR) and the West Point Parents Club of NY/NJ (WPPC-NYNJ) would like to invite you and your family to their annual New Cadet Picnic.  The picnic will be held at the Round Pond Recreation Area at West Point in Bonneville Cabin and will include:

• Hot dogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, salads & side dishes, soft drinks, desserts, etc. (no alcohol)

• A guest speaker from the staff at West Point with some good advice to get you started

• An informal discussion with current cadets regarding what you can expect on R-Day and beyond

• A separate briefing for your parents from current cadet parents on what to expect during your four years at USMA

• Fun and games

• A chance to meet some of your new classmates from the region (we are inviting ~50 incoming cadets from this area).

Join us for a hike you will never forget! After a moderate incline, we reach the summit of the Popolopen Torne trail and pay tribute to those who have given their life in service to our country.

Meet at West Point visitor center parking lot at 10:00am, we will carpool to the trailhead. The trailhead is close to American Burrito in Highland Falls, NY

Join parent club members to cheer for the Class of 2028 as they march back from Beast. We will be cheering along Washington Road, directly across from the Arts & Crafts center.

You can also join us for an early bird tour of Trophy Point, meet at 8:00am at Beat Navy Tunnel.

We are planning our annual kayaking trip for Sunday July 14th from 10:30 to 2:30.

This trip starts in Cornwall on the Hudson. All equipment will be provided. Children are welcome. LUNCH on a sand bar is included :))

The trip take you around Bannerman Island to a sandbar where the guides will cook you up a wonderful lunch, then we row back.

The cost for the trip is $100 per person.

On December 2 and 2023 at 12:00 pm (Wreath Placement Immediately Following Ceremony), Wreaths Across America will be at United States Military Academy West Point Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Parent Club members will meet near Starbucks at 11:30am, please join us.
